Terms

Draft. This is a starting point, not legal advice. Customize it for your deployment and have it reviewed before relying on it commercially.

Service

ZAR (“the Service”) is a GitHub App that proposes documentation changes based on code changes in repositories where it is installed. The Service is provided by the ZAR team to users who install it (hosted), or operated by you (self-hosted).

”As is”

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any documentation changes ZAR proposes before merging them.

Your responsibilities

  • You must have the right to install ZAR on the repositories you connect it to.
  • You are responsible for reviewing ZAR’s suggestions; merging a proposed change is your decision.
  • You must keep your credentials and (if self-hosting) your deployment secure. See Security.

Subscriptions & billing

Access to documentation PR creation requires an active plan or complimentary access. Plans and billing are described on the dashboard and the GitHub Marketplace listing. See Plans.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the providers of the Service are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including any documentation changes it proposes or commits.

Changes

These terms may change as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here.
